All,
Where can i find a free image upload component that still exists and works with this forum? i'm using the latest version of the forum and have been for a while now. However I now want to give my user the ability to upload images.
I have tried to find the free ones that the admin page suggests but they are to old or don't exist anymore. MY server is running MS Server 2003 Standard Edition, with MS SQL 2005.
I tried Dundas upload 2.0 it installs but nothing much after that when you set WWF to use it it can't seem to connect to it, i'm sure this is because Dundas 2.0 was built in the year 2000 and built for MS Server 2000.
Any suggestions? or is WWF about to support some more modern components? or create its own?
any help greatly appreciated.

I just installed Dundas on my server. I was running AspSmartUpload, but it has stopped functioning since the release of 8.x (at least for me). My server is running MS SQL2000 and Windows 2000 Server Standard. I installed Dundas 2.0 today, changed my Forum Upload config to use Dundas and verified I had read/write/modify security settings for the Everyone group on the Upload folder under my Forum directory. Everything has been tested and is working again. Image uploads, file uploads, it is all good. Dundas 2.0 can now be downloaded at: http://aspalliance.com/dundas/default.aspx - http://aspalliance.com/dundas/default.aspx Hope that all helps. |
