Hi,

To have a legal page or disclaimer on a website, is it necessary to get this written by a Lawyer or are they mostly written by web designers or website owners?

Anybody know??

you can write it however you wish.   People use lawyers to draw it up because lawyers know how to "cover all the bases" with disclaimers and policies.

If it is a business web site I would get a print from that disclaimer and at least have it notarised, that way noone can allege you changed it afterwards...
