Hi, Recently I upgraded to v.7 from v.6.34 with success. However I would like to know how can I add the who's online feature in the main page. Something like this..."There are xx Active Users online, xx Guest(s) and xx Member(s)" Thanks in advance. |

| just a quickie,have got it all running and sorted now,just testing before lettin em have it, it says not to enable access versions (active users) because of database and performance issues,why? what happens? have turned it on just to see what problems it throws up as this is one feature i use alot to keep track of folk,that and the live stats! |

the amount of updates that is required to the database in order for it to work, access often can't cope and the database will become corrupted crashing the forum, the only option then is to download and compact and repair the database in access to get it going again. Also as access doesn't properly delete entries from the database, the database size will grow and grow, thuse slowing down the forum. I came across one site the otherday that had a 29Mb access database, this size was mainly due to the active users table and items not being properly cleared out by access, after compacting and repairing the database, the size went from 29Mb down to 7Mb.
