I've recently had someone signup to my forum and then post advertising. I have suspended the account and added the e-mail address to the 'blocked' list.

This individual was able to create a new account using the same e-mail address.

Has anyone else had issues with e-mail address blocking?

Also...where can I find the IP Address used so I can block the IP as well.

Make sure you have the latest version installed.

You want to enable email activation, then if you suspend an account it is not possible for the user to signup again using that email address.

IP addresses are found at the top of the post in version 8.

You may also want to enable full moderation (Post Approval in permissions page) for your newbie user group, this will mean that any new post will need to be approved before the post goes live. If you have this enabled for a few weeks when the spammers post doesn't show up they will soon get board and move on elsewhere.
