Tonight I'm shutting down our old Snitz forum and running the conversion over to WWF! Big%20smile

I've already done a trial run, let's hope the real thing goes ok.

Badly. :(

Have to have two swipes at it after I realised the script I was using was ommiting users who hadn't made any posts.

Now the default page and main forum pages are showing wrong topic starter  and last poster username, but within the thread the usernames are correct. Aaargh! Cry

Oh yes, plenty of backups and I never work on the live system, it's all done locally and then put back to the server.

Just figuring out where it screwed up. It's ok on SQL, but not after downsizing to Access, which I need to use until I can sort out another host. Confused

Downsizing from SQL to Access will mess things up. I've tried it before... it worked for existing users...but not new ones.

How do you mean it won't work for new users?

Sorted my problem, it was dodgy indexs on the thread table. Instead of exporting from SQL, I had to import from Access so the ID field came through as an autonumber. So far it seems to be ok........
