Is there any way to get rid of the Active X confirmation messages each time you open a thread with a media item on it.

Had a feeling you might say that. I have been using Opera because ever since i upgraded to IE 7 i have noticed problems with my forum such as images not displaying properly. I have tried to get rid of that "Run Active X" box myself but don't seem to have any luck. I'm assuming it is IE but may be something to do with Active X aswell.

As far as am aware, ActiveX is a microsoft (IE) thing, and also as far as am aware this mod doesnt use activex. though I use firefox, so its hard to test.

What file type are you using?

I found the reason for the message, i was linking to a .mov file (a quicktime file) therefore i couldnt use WMediaPlayer to open the file, and so i needed to authorise the active X component through a message

So in conclusion, I think the reason people are getting error messages is that they use Quicktime for streaming content, if you use Windows Media Player such error messages are avoided

PS. I cant write a message on your forum S2H, the security code is stopping me from posting. It might be something to do with my browser though
