I used the following code to add a quick search button by user name in the older forum, anyone can help me translate this to version 8?

If you can wait for a little bit longer this will be part of version 9. When you move the mouse over the members name next to their posts you will get a drop down of extra options for them including searching for posts they have made.

There will also be a drop down on each page for a quick forum search and another drop down on this page for a quick topic search to search for specific posts within a topic or by a particular member.

Thats great, anyway you can help me now with some basic code to search for posts by member name for ver. 8? I would like to include it if its not too much trouble.
