Can someone describe the simple steps to move from an older version to a new version. Is it merely loading the new files over the old ones in an existing Forum folder?
If not that clean, are there specific files I must preserve to maintain the topics already there?

If you use the Search feature of these boards, you can find a lot of topics where this has been discussed many times.
