Hi,

I have tried to remove the Bible forum from http://www.forumssolution.com - www.forumssolution.com  from the admin section, because it was open for everyone and I have received more than 100 bad post a day on it.

While removing, It was taking to long, so I decided to cancel the proccess, since that time, I have been received this following error measage on my home page.

Microsoft JET Database Engine error '80004005'

Record is deleted.

/default.asp, line 378

Can anyone give me an idea how to fix it?

Thanks

It looks like because you cancelled the process it only partially deleted records in the database.

You will need to go back to the admin area and attempt to complete the deletion process and hopefully that will fix the issue. If not it may mean manually editing the database which could be very tricky.

Thanks BoRg for you quick answer,  when I go back to the admin section and try to delete it, it gives me this following error message,

The page cannot be displayed

There is a problem with the page you are trying to reach and it cannot be displayed.

When I tried to delete from the database directly,  I can not because that record depends of a lot of other records, I really can figure it out, if you can tell me how to do that, that will be great.

Thanks

You shouldn't attempt to remove records from the database or you will end up with an unsuable database. Even I wouldn't want to try doing that.

It could be the database has become corrupted, try compacting and repairing the database in Access then have another go at completing the process from the admin area.

Yeap, I didn't do it directly from the server, I was download a copy of the database to my local pc and tried to do it from there, the original database is still on the server.

How can I repair the database?

Download the database and select 'Compact and Repair' from the Tools menu in Access, then reupload it.
