Hello there,
I've recently built my website, uploaded it to my domain, but it won't start automatically!

I've republished it several times (each time generating a new index.html because I thought the code might have been broken)

The files are definately there, because if you right click, then "play" it starts!  I just don't understand how to get it to play automatically.  I've gone back into the publishing settings for the HTML to check the "Paused at start" button is unticked.. it is!!!!

Can anyone help???? I was using Flash Pro 8........ pwittty pwitty pweeeeease, someone must know what they're doing who can help me out!

ta!

Your Flash is great!  Really nice work!

You might want to consider resizing to fit the majority of your users screen size.  According to statistics published in January of 2007:

Internet User Screen Size Statistics
26%  -  Larger
54%  -  1024x768
14%  -  800x600
6%  -  Unknown

Basically that means appx 7 out of 10 people that might visit your site are forced to scroll up and down to see the entire Flash movie.

By the time you account for the browser interface, toolbars, status bar, etc... the visible area (without scrolling) of a 1024x768 screen is less than 600 vertical pixels!  By today's standards it is safe to keep your movie width under 735 pixels, and your height under 550 pixels.

Your flash movie is currently set to a static 750 x 750 pixels.  If you don't want to resize the components of your flash movie, you could set the width and height parameters in the HTML of the page to a percentage instead of a pixel size.  This would cause the movie to automatically resize to fit the screen.  (example: width="90%" height="90%")

This is fine if the users screen is smaller than the size the movie was originally created at, but the drawback would be if a user has a very large screen, your images will lose quality if they are stretched to fit.

You might want to play around with the percentage values, and view the site at various screen sizes to see what looks best.   Or not.  It's your call.

Hope you found this info helpful.
