hey,

while tring to post a topic in HEBREW,

i get this messege:

Server Error in Forum Application
An error has occured while writing to the database.
Please contact the forum administrator.

Support Error Code:- err_mySQL_save_new_topic_data
File Name:- new_post.asp

Error details:-
Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers
[MySQL][ODBC 3.51 Driver][mysqld-5.0.21-community-max-nt]Field 'Subject' doesn't have a default value

after tring differnt subjects i found that it only happens in hebrew and only over 4 letters. that is to say it works fine in english.

i had a look at the tbltopic table and seen that is saves hebrew letters as long strings in english and signs. the coding is utf8_general_ci. which should work fine for english and hebrew as much as i know.

i would apericiate your help,

It sounds like you need to edit the file includes/browser_encoding_inc.asp and set the correct page encoding for your forum.
