We've noticed, quite by accidental discovery!, that the forum limits new users to a minimum of 4 characters, or a max of 15.

Is there a reason for this, and if not can it be changed?

If it can be changed, where is this done? I looked and it doesn't appear to be an option in the admin area so it must be set in stone somewhere.

However, if there's a reason I'm not aware of, and you recommend we NOT change it, please let us know that, as well!

It's not something that can be chnaged easily, but version 9 has been updated to allow usernames between 2 and 20 characters and less limits on what usernames can be used.
