Since upgrading to v9, I have a problem with the image upload dialog box:

This folder has "modify" rights for the IUSR.. account and it worked fine with v8. The error is an HTTP 500 error.

You need to turn off friendly HTTP error messages in IE so you can findout what the problem is

Quote Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a004c'

It looks like the same error as the other thread where you suggest moving the upload folder back to the default location.  I'm concerned that if I move the files, it will break the links in the existing messages.  I originally moved the upload and avatar folders out of the "forum" folder to ease upgrades.

I also notice that the folder path appends a "/5" to the file path. This folder doesn't exist.  Where is the "/5" coming from?

Just fooling around, I added the "5" folder to my uploads folder and everything worked fine.  However, isn't this how the file manager determines which files belong to certain users?  Will other users have different folder names?  The forum doesn't appear to be creating the users' folders.

So that you don't break links in old posts leave the old uploads where they are.

However for version 9 use the default upload folder 'uploads' this should fix any issues you have.

Yes, in version 9 each users has their own upload folder and allocated space in which to upload files. This works together with the new 'File Manager' found in the member control panel.
