Another question re NewsPad.

I've been doing some testing with the import features and have found that, although you specify for NewsPad to create a users password based on no field being supplied, no email is sent to the user advising them of their password?

Is this intended?  The reason I ask is, it seems rather pointless to have NewsPad generate a password when the user is going to have to use the "Forgot password" option LOL.  I've been through the options and tried a number of different things, but cant seem to get it to import a userbase, generate a password, then email that userbase with their logon information.

It doesn't send an email, so they will need to use the forgotten password tool.

It generates a password rather than leaving it blank otherwise the users account would be left wide open to abuse with no password on the system.

After reading the License agreement, it seems this could be deemed a "Technical Limitation" of the application, preventing us by further developing it to meet our requirements of emailing the imported user?

From the standard agreement (also listed as 5.7 in the developer license)

5.8. You may not work around any technical limitations in the software.

Can you confirm if this would be the case.

Also, just curious about the importation feature.  After testing it, there are a few features which we as an organisation would benefit from.  In the developer edition, it has the above noted (5.7) but also lists;

4.2. You may modify the Software, so long as it is permitted in this Agreement.

It appears a little misleading can you confirm the definition of what is a "Technical Limitation".

Cheers
