Have a look in the Web Wiz Forums 'extras' folder found in your forums main folder there is one in there.

Just update the URL to point to your forum and place it on any site anywhere on the internet, that supports ASP. It can be included into your homepage for example.

In then grabs the latest posts from the forums RSS Feed.

Borg, I'm trying to add it on a box on my page_layout_footer_inc.asp page on newspad, but I get the Required attribute 'alt' is missing error. Is there any code in the RSS feed page you created that could interfere with the code from the file I mentioned above.

Thanks!

Works like a charm on my site, thank you.
I hoped however I could get it to open in a new page, when hitting the link of a subject, but I failed in where to put this in the code?

Hmm after playing a bit with the recent_forum_post.asp I have a slight idea, that there is something wrong..
What exactly should this script show?
On my site it shows "forum name : subject" thats all. There are no pubdate or posted?

All the people reporting issues here also report issues with the RSS Feeds as they are not using western character sets on the servers they are on.

As this feature relies on the RSS Feed you will need to wait for a version to be released that is compatible with your character set before you will be able to use this tool.

We have started work on building a version that is compatible with non-western character sets which should fix all these issues and should be available over the coming weeks.

You must edit the recent_forum_posts.asp file and place the HTTP address of the RSS feed for your forum. This is at the line 40, which originally shows:

    strWebWizForumsURL = "http://forum.webwiz.net/RSS_topic_feed.asp"

Change the URL to your own and the file will show your latest posts.

Regards,
Edy
