As a member of a forum which uses Web Wiz 8.4 I'm asking what may be the cause of a recent blip in the system when trying to send private messages some members are getting the following ERROR message...thanks Server Error in Forum Application
An error has occured while sending an email. Please contact the forum administrator. Support Error Code:- err_Access_send_mail_footer File Name:- functions_send_mail.asp Error details:- CDO.Message.1 Access is denied. |

For security reasons the first thing you should do is upgrade to the latest version. The error means that the forum is unable to send an email due to a setup issue with CDOSYS on the server. I have contacted our Admin...as a forum administrator for another forum I thought I might just help find a solutiion to pass on to our administrator. I will suggest to them that we upgrade and pass on relevent details which you have listed.
