Hello,

I copied the entire database structure and data over to a new web host, I am using version 7.0.1 with Sql Server.  The forum runs and I can log in, but all of my forums are gone.  My members appear to be gone, only how did I get logged in in the first place if the members are missing.  It is very weird, am I missing a privilege or something?  If I view the database tables the data appears to be correct.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Version 7.01 is way out of date and your best bet would be to upgrade ASAP!
As far as i'm aware their is no support for version 7 forums (don't take my word for it)

Yes thanks.  I was hoping not to have to completely re-invent the wheel for what should be a simple move.  I know progress is something that happens and I am generally a big fan of it. However in this case everyone is happy with the site as it is and it will take me allot more effort than it is worth to do a full upgrade just to move the board to a different server.  So I am just hoping someone out there knows a quick look at this or that and I can be on my way.

It will take you a lot more effort to start fresh when someone hacks into your forum and deletes it.

I understand that upgrading your forum can be a lot of work, this is why it should be done on a release basis, version 7.01 is many years old now and instability comes with age.

On a side note, you could try re-syncing the posts from within the admin area to see if that helps

Big%20smile That would at least give me an excuse to start fresh.  With no migration I would think that would be even faster.

The resync, that is helpful info. thank you.
