Some are probably simple and because the co owner who does that side of the website is busy, I am going to ask the questions so that when I get a reply I can look into it all. The website is http://www.theunprettier.com - www.theunprettier.com and my co admin is webmasterff on the forum so here goes.

1. How do you get back up the users who have been online in the day feature at the bottom of the forum?

2. Why is it that when you click on a profile including your own, you cannot view it because the page isn't there?

3. When using the new search facility, how come it doesn't open up the old feature search when using it like this forum does? Not having that makes searches a lot harder to use.

4. We have tried to put forum staff under each catergory the same way as we did when using version 7 (we missed version 8) and it's not working for some reason.

5. We currently cannot get private messages for some reason.

Thank you in advance for your help.

1. It sonly shows users who are presently active

2. Sounds like a corrupted file, try reuploading the files again

3. When you open the quick search drop down, click 'Advanced Search' to get all the options. Please note Forum Search and Topic Search and two different types of searches, with different options.

4. Sorry don't understand the question, but sounds like you are wanting to setup permissions and groups.

5. This is only available in the Premium Edition.

1. Is their any way to bring back that feature because we had it on version 7?

2. Cheers we shall try that.

3. When I look at the forum homepage..........

http://www.theunprettier.com/forum/ - http://www.theunprettier.com/forum/

I click on SEARCH and it shows a box to type in, a go option to start search and options to search in posts or titles. It doesn't bring up advanced search for us. Also you can barely see the search titles or post options.

4. Yes that would be right.

5. We are buying that shortly and so thank you.

1. You may have had a mod as there has never been such a feature as standard.

3. Had a look on your site and there is an option in the drop down for 'Advanced Search' you click that link.

3. A drop down opens
4. At the bottom of the drop down there is a link saying 'Advanced Search', with the skin you are using this link is in orange

That's what I can see when I click on search. I don't see no advanced search option and can barely see the other two options.

Not quite sure why as I have just looked at your forum in IE7 and it works fine, but for some reason your IE7 has extended the search text area field and pushed the 'Go' button to a new line. This has forced all the other features in the drop down to be pushed out of site.

Do you have any usual text size settings so we can try and replicate this issue?

i also am missing the advanced button, and using FireFox on linux.

my "go" button is dropped down as well except difference is mine stops at the bottom of the radio buttons, so "looks" fine.

its the same on the Topic Search box

I also had the same problem with firefox.
I "solved" it by adding ugly scrollbar to the pop-up frame.

No just normal IE7 for me and I have not changed anything text wise. I have used the same settings all the time and it's annoying this because it makes searches tougher and slower to find anything I want.

Will look into using CSS to set the text box at a specific size, that should hopefully fix any such problems as from the image it looks like the text box has grown to fill the whole area.

Cool mate, hopefully once you do that, the problem will be over with. Also is their or do you think their will be in the future a mod that allows you to have a board created that doesn't bump post count? Basically a board for silly games where short answers are all you need but they don't deserve to go onto overall post count.

Any idea mate how long it will take to sort the text box in searches out for? People keep starting topics we already have somewhere else, but I cannot lock the new topic that's been started with a link to the original thread on the same thing, because I am struggling to find the original thread way down the topic list.

Ok while the update is still being sorted, the co owner who's busy wanted me to ask something.

1. He's tried a couple of times now to sort the corrupt file at http://www.theunprettier.com/forum - www.theunprettier.com/forum that stops us looking at profiles and sorting them and we keep having the same problem. Is their something else we could try?

Here are some from me...........

2. Is their any decent a decent chatbox we could use? I see one's at top of forum homepages on like V Bulletin and wondered if Web Wiz have anything similar.

3. Is their a way to show time and date of a post when you quote it like what happens at Proboards?

1.

the best thing to do is re download the zip from this site and re upload to the server.

2. Chatbox

there is a shoutbox MOD in the MOD's forum. I have a heavely MODDED Conquer chatroom i have running on a number of my/clients sites. and looking and discussion on a WWF MOD with the chat room and ShoutBOX add on

3.this would have to be added/modded into your forum as its not a standard feature.

Any ideas? Earlier it would only show one section and now it's showing most of them but missing ones from the bottom bit.
