Hello,

this is my first post in the new design of WWF :)

I've an MsSQL database of 50,000 records, it is for a law book.

I don't have experience for working with such a big database, so do you have any advices for how do I make a text search inside this database, would the ntext field has any special settings to fasten the search through it?

SELECT tblTable.Field FROM tblTable WHERE Field Like '%search words %';

Is there any special setting in this field, database size it about 350 MB, is the tblTable.Field should has any extra setting to fasten the searching?

Using only the LIKE keyword makes for a pretty limited search, it only allows for exact matches.

You may be better off enabling full-text indexing, that'll allow you to get better matches, and should be more optimised.
