Subject: Missing Posts

I am running webwiz ver 8 and for some reason I’m missing about 8 very important posts from over the years that I have posted?  They just disappeared:\  Is there any way to track this or get them back?  They had lot’s of images uploaded into the posts, would that break with an upgrade from ver 7 to ver 8 ?

Please let me know.

99% of the time when people say this it is simply because they have the drop down box on the page displaying the topics set to only display topics from x amount of time.

Select 'Any Date' from the drop down and you should see your older topics.

Yep it displays posts from 2 years ago and there are 3 seperate pages.  But when I do a search or even manually search they are gone:\  They were great pictures that I like to look back onDisapprove

Is there anything I can do?

I know I have had posts in the past that the code has changed to only allow so many pictures in one post.  But the posts that are gone had probably 20 pictures per post.

The only way that they would be gone is if you either have a database corruption or an admin or moderator has deleted the post. Also you should make sure you are running the latest version so you are not vulnerable to a hacker.

Images are stored in the upload folder, if you look in this folder on your web site you should find the images in there.

Yes the images are in the upload folder but the links disappeared:\  Is there a way to run a repair on the database in hopes that it will bring the links back?

Do you have to pay for the 9.03 upgrade?  I paid for this lifetime service and now after the upgrade it has advertisements all over the place?  Do I have to pay again?

the new version does not allow uploading?  I have been a member for a long time and get barley any hits a day and I will have to pay for another version?  Why did you not say that in your original post it seems the upgrade fron 8.x to 9.x is a big step and has disabled half of my sight..Thumbs%20Down
