Hi. I'm new and would like to thank you for allowing me to join.

I have Windows XP, Multimedia Edition, and I don't know if it supports IIS, or how to set it up. I just signed up for an ASP class, and would like to be ready for it.

Forgive my ignorance, I have much to learn. Thank you in advance for your kind help.

I'm assuming that you meant XP Media Center edition...
If so, then yes. IIS is supported on XP Media Center.

To install it, follow the steps listed on this microsoft page: http://www.microsoft.com/resources/documentation/windows/xp/all/proddocs/en-us/iiiisin2.mspx?mfr=true - http://www.microsoft.com/resources/documentation/windows/xp/all/proddocs/en-us/iiiisin2.mspx?mfr=true

let us know if you have any questions.

Also for some odd reason MS included IIS with the Media Center Edition, which is intended for home theatre type systems in your sitting room, and not with the XP Home Edition which was more expensive.

IIS comes with Media Center 2004 which is built upon XP Pro but not with Media Center 2005 which is based upon XP Personal. Found that out the hard way Cry
