My configuration requires pre-approval, but I suspect some people are trying to spam by asking a question about something, create another account and answering it to promote their product/service. Some of this is within the same day, which is unusual for my forum.

I just noticed if I mouse over "Block Poster's IP" I get the IP address. Is this the only way to see the IP? It would be more convenient if it was displayed in the header, this would allow for much quicker review of the IPs.

Use the Post Options drop down, if you are logged in as a moderator or admin you get a Block Poster's IP address option. If you hover the mouse over this you get the IP address of the user who made the post.

just noticed it and edited my original post.

Is this the only way to see the IP? It would be more convenient if it was displayed in the header, this would allow for much quicker review of the IPs. I currently have to mouse over each one, write down the IP for each post, and compare them. takes much longer this way.

Updating the section that says

"Posted: Today at 9:04am"

to say

"Posted: Today at 9:04am from 127.0.0.0.0"

if the logged in person is the moderator or admin would be quite helpful.

I see a point here. Sure it is better leaving the IP revealed instead of hovering while moderating many topics/posts. and also logging user's IP while registering and while posting will be a good consideration.
