Hi, this question is for the Web Wiz Forum team.. Can i use the included avatars in your free forum in a different board?. Note: I was trying to install your forums (access version) in my machine and i was not be capable, a little later i decided to instal the sql version but the forums not support MySql, really bad because i still like this forum, anyway i've installed a different kind of board in my machine and now every thing is ok, i was wondwring if there is any trouble in use your avatars in the other board. Two question more from people of my net: 1- Is gonna Web Wiz forum to support in next future mysql enviroment?, in next version perhaps? 2- Is gonna Web Wiz forum to support in next future postgre sql enviroment?, When?.

Thanks in advanced

What problems did you encounter? I'll assume you were using and IIS webserver?

What Problems?

I've post the following in other post in this board--

while updating the configuration page i got this error

Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a000d'

Type mismatch: 'CBool'

/forum/admin/forum_configure.asp, line 1978

All files have been extracted from its zip file, no modification yet, i deleted all files an re-extracted again, the problem was not fixed. I've tryed to compact and repair the database. The problem is still there, i've no mods installed and i'm running the original forum files. I've deleted all cookies too in explorer. The rest seems to work fine. My versión: web wiz forums access2000 v7.01. What can i do?.--

Question you may have: Are odbc acces dirvers correctly instaled?: Yes, i can access the database throuh webwizforum and make updates without troubles except using the page forum_configure.asp. Are asp correctly instaled?. Yes, the rest of the forum and others asp code not related to the forum works ok. Are you properly installed asp drivers, Yes. All asp code is working right now. Are you installed the correct versión of Access?. Yes, sure. Are you using a modificated forum file?. Not at all. Are you are using the original forum files?. Yes. Perhaps you have a corrupt file?. I don't know, but it is not probable because i have downloaded three time the files of the forum and reinstalled all thing three times too. Note: I know perfectly well that forum_configure.asp does not have a line 1978. So what is your problem?. Really i don't know, but probably is an incompatibilty in some place inside my machine. Do you assume i'm you IIS webserver?. No I'm using Abyss Web Server, and till i know is fully compatible with webwizforum if you have installed and properly configures asp drivers. Others tips you may want to know.... I'm using XP and iis server is no currently installed.

Hmmm---I have a friend that installed Abyss and loves it for a webserver EXCEPT the ASP installation doesn't play with WWF very well. Now someone else may have a workaround but I ended putting his forum on my server running IIS.

I don't know what to tell you about Abyss (i know it is a good webserver app) and WWF, but I can assure you that it plays very well with IIS.

Actaully I think this a question that starts with me.  Please email me mailto:4thorder@4th.cc - 4thorder@4th.cc  I would like to know where your gonna use them.

The avatars however were made specifically for WWG.  That said you should also ask Borg for permission as well.

I would first try to see if you can fix your hiccup.  IMHO its worth the effort becuse your not gonna find a better forum out there.

Do you have XP Home or XP Pro installed?

If you have XP Pro, then you should really consider installing IIS. Make sure you install all the current security patches also.

As 4thOrder stated, there is NO better forum out there. Even the high $$ don't measure up.

Totally agree with you, Can i use the avatars in other kind of forum Borg?, the web will not be about sexual or censurables contents, you will have the address too if you want to check something....

I'm not agree that i'm not going to found a good forum, i 've found one ;) If you are trying to say that web wiz is one of the best, i totally agree with you once more, think that was my first choice, and for the rest i will be back on my especifical problem with this forum for three reasons, first: i like it, second: the problem is in my machine and is not a problem of the forum itself, if work for others people should work for me too and third: i can't resist the forum works for other and not for me, i have to found a solution to fix the problem for personal satisfaction and to post it here, in next future other people could have the same problem, one post can help many people...

i have windows xp pro yes, no iis just now, my problem is that i have installed abyss and after that i have configured everything on it, i mean asp, perl, etc, and all the code are working now, i don't wanna go back once more and start again..... Note: iis was installed before abyss on my machine, and installed abyss to make probe outline, and after that i decided to keep it..... Note2: Web Wiz Forum were not tested with iis....
