Yeah, it's still in the first beta release... the new thing in this social network is that you can edit your friends profiles... Big%20smile think of it as wikipedia...

I kinda agree with you; but there is a good reason behind using them.. it helps making YOUR site popular... you create your own community on that social networking site and let your site members enroll in it... your site membes may be friends of some social networking site members who do not know about your site... so it's a good way of letting others know about your personal site.

Not everyone uses social networking sites alike. For most, its a popularity thing. I've seen some pages with people who have thousands of friends... are you serious!?! I personally use it to keep in touch with friends and family. We live in a day in age in which computers rule our daily lives. Most of us work with computers on a daily basis and have access to these types of sites that allow us another quicker and easier way of communicating.

LOL DPyers.

I like to take a look at new technologies like that and I must say that Yahoo is probably the most annoying one. AJAX is cool but there is such a thing as too much AJAX. It's just too busy and un-organized...Like most of them are actually.

I completely agree with the too much AJAX! It seems like they tried a different approach then that of Myspace or Facebook and it doesn't look too well for Mash. I've played around with it a bit for a couple of days and am still confused about the whole thing. Myspace and Facebook were much easier to understand and use.
