How please?  I have loaded the Forum folder into my local computer's FrontPage website; and uploaded the Forum, with its .asp files to my website.  http://www.godslovinglight.com - www.godslovinglight.com   'World Community Friends'.
It's a light-year beyond me as to how to activate the Forum.
How, please, do I make the forum work?  What's needed to make FrontPage open an .asp file, etc.
       Sincerely,
           Richard Shargel

I'm so glad that Microsoft have dropped that awful Frontpage and moved onto Expression Web which is much better.

Frontpage tends to break ASP applications as it tries to re-write them. If you don't know what you are doing don't put Web Wiz Forums anywhere near Frontpage.

You want to follow the install instructions and FTP the files to the server (not through Frontpage).

Borg, I disagree. I have been using FrontPage for more than 2 years now... and the ONLY tool that I use when I manage the forum, is FrontPage. I used to use the one that comes with Office XP and for the past 8 months I use the 2003 version.
When dealing with an ASP file in frontpage, it may get messed up when you modify that file in 'design' view, but if you do it in 'code' view you will not hurt the file at all.
I think this could happen with any other tool not just FP... because ASP code is not HTML or CSS, and is usually done using a different tool. It is all about the way the end user uses these tools.

Yes, you can also tweak FP to leave certain things alone, too. I use it exclusively, unless I use notepad or coffeecup's FTP app.
I use FP in code view for the code pages.
But then, I also compare my changed page to a saved copy of the original. I make a copy of ANY page I'm about to edit regardless the tool I use to edit it.
I've not lost a file to FP in the last couple years. FP200 and earlier were naughty, yes, but the latest 2 versions have been good, FP2003 is quite well behaved - IF you make it behave.
It even understands styles and style sheets in recent versions

IMO, Expressions Web is a repackaged FrontPage, so much of it is the same that if you can run FP, EW is like FP with wrappers on, (and on the down side, controls you and lets you tweak less).
Like moving from a PC to a Mac, for me. I love raw control, not limited access to things...................Don't lock the hood.
