If you want the double line spacing in IE you need to set the line to False eg:-

Const blnNoIEdblLine = False

NO sorry I do not want the double spacing but even when its true it gives me it anyway.

say I type:

this line is ok then press return
and I get it underneathe ok

but even if i press return once i get a space rather than straight underneath like above but

then get a double space when I  hit return once

any ideas ??

the strange thing is that within the teaxarea field you notice the true staement has worked as not dbl lines when pressing enter etc.

But when it is posted it displays with dbl lines :

If i do a source view and look at the entry it get

lgjhfjlghljfdhjhfjghf<br>
<DIV>fgjkdfhgfhgjdfjdfhjghjfhjdf</DIV><br>
<DIV>fgjkdfhgk</DIV><br>
<DIV>&nbsp;</DIV><br>
<DIV>fljghflhglfhgljfhlgjhfjghf</DIV><br>
<DIV>fkjfhgjkfdghjkfgd</DIV><br>
<DIV>&nbsp;</DIV><br>
<DIV>fgkfjljgkldjfgkldfg</DIV><br>
<DIV>&nbsp;</DIV><br>
<DIV>fgljdfgldfhgl</DIV>

its adding <div> tags (ie7) on ie6 it adds <p> tags

Not sure if you figured this out, but try holding control when you hit enter for the next line. It should give you a standard carriage return.

I run into that once in a while with IE and that seems to be the only work around I can find.
