When I log into the admin portion to make changes to the forum, it allows me to make changes sometimes but most of the time once I make changes in the admin section I get this error.

Access Denied

Error Error
Only members with sufficient permission can access this page.

Any idea why?

I deleted my cookies, and re-logged in and it still does it.

Do you have an SID number displayed in the URL in the address bar?

If so then it means that cookies are not working for your web site. To fix the issue, edit the file includes/setup_options_inc.asp where you can alter the cookie path to the domain root which generally fixes cookie issues.

I also have run into this very same problem.  However, I am not seeing an SID number in my address bar.  I deleted all my cookies and logged back in but that had no effect.

any other thoughts as to the problem?

Did you still do as suggested in the previous post to see if that fixes the issue?

Version 10 has this cookie setting, plus a few others to finely tune cookies for you site and server setup moved to the admin area, which should help tweak cookie settings a little more.

However the forum will still work without cookies, although there maybe a few places this also needs a tweak which is why you may have occasionally on a few links had an access denied message after clicking them.
