Hi:

I am hoping there is a really obvious thing i am overlooking here! We would like an email notification of every single post that is posted on our forums - inlcuding new topics, to be sent via an email notification to our forum moderators inbox - is there a way to do this?

I have tried subscribing to all sub-forums but this doesn't seem to do it. It is important that we dont miss any posts on our particular forums.

Thanks in advanceSmile

In your member control panel there should be a Tab for 'Subscriptions' in this area you can select which forums to subscribe to via email.

However, to make your forum run faster when making posts you may want to look at using the RSS Feeds to subscribe to forums.

RSS Feeds work with most modern browsers, email clients, Visa Sidebar, etc. and will automatically notify you of any new posts.

Hi,

I am busy evaluating you forum software.

I have the following questions:

- Why is it slow between pages/clicks?
- I am also testing the e-mail notification for the moderators. I could not find the subscription button anywhere on the trial copy.
- Once you reply to a posting, is there another way of going to the list of topics?

It is possible that most of these points are addressed in the real version, but not sure.

Sofar the products looks great.

Web Wiz Forums is not slow between page clicks, the forum engine has been heavily optimised for performance with only 2 to 3 database queries per page and pages processing in 0.04 of a second. If you find it is running slow then this is a problem with the systems you are using, usually coursed by things like slow connections between the web server and the database server.

All users with a valid email can subscribe to an entire forum for email notifications, if you go to your 'Member Control Panel' and click on the subscriptions tab you can subscribe to email notifications from there. You also have RSS Feeds for each forum which are often faster and simpler than using email notification.

Not sure what you men though by having another way of going to the list of topics?

Thanks for the response. I found the subsciption ()and the e-mail notifcations works.

About the slow response, it may have to do with the adverts it is showing. We have a limited link to the outside (www).

What I was referring to is getting back to the subjects/topics heading page after replying to a posting.

When you reply to a post it should take you back to the topic and display the post you have just created, using an anchor link to take you directly to the post.
