When I click on "Toggle HTML View", it strips away some HTML tags automatically. How can I stop this from happening? I can't find the javacript that does this.

This action is coursed by the web browser that you use.

The RTE editor uses the built in RTE API of the web browser, while some do an excellent job of creating HTML others do not.

IE tends to produce awful HTML and has tendencies to re-write HTML.

Instead you may want to look at using Firefox, as the HTML it produces is much cleaner, more standards compliant, and doesn't try to alter the HTML you enter yourself.
