since v9x i cant login this forum anymore. the forum doesnt accept special characters like ö ü etc... i registered with a new name to login. what is the matter?

Newer versions of Web Wiz Forums use UTF-8 page encoding which better supports characters like ö ü etc. However, if a username was saved under the old encoding it can course problems.

To fix the problem edit the members profile in the new UTF-8 encoding and simply just save the profile. This will save the members details under the new encoding.

The other option is to edit the file includes/setup_options_inc.asp and change the page encoding from UTF-8 to the older iso-8859-1
