I need to know how much memory and other server resources a WWF board consumes.
My only wwf site has been rejected by the host saying that it has exceeded 8 MB of server memory.
The board has around 200 posts with uploading feature disabled. And very few online members.

Web Wiz Forums would only consume around the same amount of memory as any other ASP database application.
8Mb is no enough to run any ASP database driven web site once the database drivers are loaded into memory, then according to MS you can add a further 20Kb or so for each vistor to your site as ASP creates a session for them.
If you have ASP.NET enabled on your site, even if you don't use it then this will also consume memory.
If your web host only offers you 8MB of memory it's time to find another host as 8Mb couldn't run anything. For example the main www.webwiz.net website that doesn't run anything much other than a few pages for information is presently using 124MB of memory.
So with 8MB of memory the only person who would be able to visit your web site is yourself and around 10 mates before you reach the memory limit, and thats not including any databases!

Geesh, even OUR host gives us 64 meg, and even then sessions are reset a couple times a minute which loses the current users list and causes posts to fail if you happen to post when the server resets the memory . (heavily discussed here in the past) Side effect- you never can tell how many active members are on at any given time. WOW, 8 meg? Is this one of those free hosts? Verify that - and if that's it, I can tell you of a host that will allow 8 times that. LOL!

Thank you guys.
I am in fact, become confused after all these information. I have run the board during last 8/9 months on that host with google bot on the site alomost 40% of the day. and 10-11 ppl. Everything was OK, page generation time was under 1 second.
I didn't know the memory issue. It is this January, they inform me about that and disabled the hosting.

you can stop google and other search engines visiting by creating a file called "robots.txt" and put it into your root folder.
enter the following into the file:

Thank you Scotty32.
Just the host informed me it was some other user uploaded some scripts
that is causing the problem. and they contacted Microsoft to solve it.
But I'll sure move that site to a new host.
Anyone know if WebWiz host accept payments in dollar?
