Where do I find the documentation that discusses the use of cookies to hand the user authentication from my web site to WebWiz?  I'm currently using the API, and it's not working for me.

For this you would need to use the HTTP XML API found in 9.07 which will return the cookie detail which ca be unique to your forum.

The method you need is the Member Login Cookie, which return in XML the cookie prefix, cookie name, the cookie tracking code for that member, and the cookie path. You can use this data to crate your own cookie for the member.

For documentation on this API and test forms point your browser at the httpapi.asp page in your forum.

Ok, that helps.

Does 9.06 NOT support cookies?

No, 9.07 didn't have the XML API, so would be more difficult to get the cookie data.

For extra security from hackers login data is not stored in a cookie, instead there is a tracking code which changes.

By using the HTTP XML API you are able to send data to the API for a member which will return the members current cookie tracking data and other data on the cookie so you can create the cookie yourself.
