just installed the script and am getting this error when i try and view the forum?
theres no password set so whys this appearing?

Could be that the database is corrupted. Try reuploading the original database again.
If you can use SQL Server or mySQL as Access is a desktop database and not really intended for web applications and is often plagued with corruption and resource issues.

re-uploaded (after deleting) and still not working ... same error :(

There is no password on the database so there is no reason why you would get such an error.
It suggests that there is an issue on the server. The only thing I can suggest then is that you try reinstalling the MDAC database drivers and IIS and see if that solves the issue.
If you are using a x64 bit system then there is no 64-bit driver available from Microsoft for Access, so you can not use MS Access on a 64-bit system unless you use 32-bit compatibility mode.
