Bruce (or others),
First great product! I'm working on the express version and it appears to be more than able to do what I'm looking for. Will purchase soon.
Question for the "not so ASP friendly",
I want an easy way for the users to subscribe so I could send out a small email that the website has changed (that I would send out to the email group on demand) (I know FP is not the best-looking to expand but I wanted the website up asap). I've read:
With NewsPad you can create a form on your web site and then pass the email address of the signup to the signup.asp page using either post or a querystring. eg /newspad/sign_up.asp?email=myemail@maydomain.com
I can't seem to get it to work with just a basic post to the sign_up page to be entered into the database. Can you elaborate a little? I'm using the Sql version.
many thanks in advance!
Chris

I was kind of rushed in my prior post. I'd like the subscriber to be able to sign up with the least amount of info given (password, etc) to make it as easy as possible for them to sign up for an email notification when the website is updated. I can pass the subscriber to the Webwiz signup page but I really want to just be able to add them to the database.
Again, thanks!

You should turn off the long registration form in the admin area of newspad, it will then only ask for basic information like email address and password.
From your site you need to create a form with a text area called 'email' for the users email address and have this form post to the newspad signup.asp page.
