Hi. I am new here and new to Web Wiz.  I just downloaded the free one and was hoping to play around with it but i am having some problems getting it to run.

what have done is download and copy the "forum" folder to the website directory.  when i navigate to the URL (example: website/homepage/forum) all that shows up in a Directroy Listing and not the forum itself.  Any file I click on i get this message,

"This type of page is not served.

Description: The type of page you have requested is not served because it has been explicitly forbidden.  The extension '.asp' may be incorrect.   Please review the URL below and make sure that it is spelled correctly.

Requested URL: /WebSite4/forum/web_wiz_forums.asp"

Does anyone know what this means?  Can you help me get this forum going?

Thank you,

eric

Looks like ASP is not enabled on the web server.

Make sure that the web server you are using is a Windows web server and has ASP enabled. Fot further details see the System Requirements page at http://www.webwizforums.com - www.webwizforums.com

sorry to post again.  the forum seems to work in IIS.  I have not login yet, but the forum page loads.

But in Visual Studio 2005 it still gets the same error message.

ASP has to be ran through a web server (IIS). Visual Studio is not a web server so thats why it gives that error.

I was just messing around and i found this option in VS.  when you hit create new and the dialog box shows up.  on the side of it click Local IIS.  the asp seem to run fine.
