Morning chaps,
I keep getting an auto notification from my provider advising that the forum db is nearly full (20.94 of 22.00) used. Now, I've done the delete old threads et al but still didn't resolve so I ran a sql query to check the tables sizes. This returned the following:

It looks like the database is reserving space within it. You have not said what db it is, but ask your web host to shrink the db.
20Mb is not allot anyway, I would also suggest getting a bigger database.

_popupControl();
Thanks Bruce, will get on that. Only small as only a few (50) users which usually surfices, even so I will allocate more space and get the providers to shrink as advised. It's the MS-SQL version, btw.

In that case you want to ask them to put the recover model on to simple and enable auto shrinking of the database. This will keep the file size down.
