Helm, domain, file manager, I see an option to "edit" files.
Can I actually edit a file and save it using the Helm file manager?
I just deleted an extra file (one I'd put up and not used) so find it works as well as any FTP app on dial-up! It's actually just as fast to use your file manager.
(I do have coffeecup FTP and can edit files online that way, too.)
If I use the file manager, as an example, to add our webmaster's email address to the default page, default.asp, would I use the save-as HTML option? or plain text? since really, asp pages are just text files.
We want to add the line:
<font size="2">If you have trouble logging in or registering, <br />please contact a moderator or email webmaster@xxxyyyyyyy.com</font>
near the bottom of the default.asp - we did that with 8.06 on our old host.

The file manager is great for working with HTML pages but doesn't like working with ASP, PHP, & ASP.NET files.
You can give it ago, but I would recommend backing up the files first.

I did it with the CSS file and used plain text and it seemed fine.
I think I'll just edit the ASP files locally and upload them, unless I connect with coffeecup and edit using the CC- FTP application's online editing feature.

Yes normal web pages such as HTML, CSS, etc. it works very well with. It's just the server side coding files such as ASP, ASP.NET, PHP, etc. it has problems with.
