A few ideas I have had:
Admins and mods can search for an IP to find posts / users
Users have ip at time of signup recorded Those 2 ideas could be incorporated into a "Show me everything about this IP" box in the admin area. This is currently needed on my forum as a user is being abused by email, we have the users IP but have no way of searching IP's of users, also if they never posted, there is no way to get the IP.
Spoiler tags would also be useful, all text in a spoiler box could be the same colour as the background of the box so a user has to highlight the box to read the text.

I second the above suggestion. When a user registers with an offensive nickname or any other piece of information on their profile, there is currently no way of tracing them. A hidden field in a user's profile that is visible to admins for the user's IP address would help!
