We're currently running an old version of Web Wiz Forums (v. 7.01, I believe), integrated into profiles as part of a membership-driven site.  I'm looking at some upgrade options for the forum, as any upgrade will involve some extensive coding to make sure all the pieces fit together well.

Got a question about v. 9.  I'm very familiar with vBulletin and their RSS Feed Robot feature which allows an external RSS feed to be imported automatically as posts into the forum.  Does this version of WWF have a similar type of feature?  Or is this available with a mod?

It doesn't at the present time as it has not been suggested before, but it is a good idea.

However, I imagine that as vBulletin is written in PHP you can schedule tasks such as importing RSS Feeds, with ASP you can not schedule tasks so it maybe quite difficult to implement.

Has anybody tried this already? Is there an API to feed the posts from a RSS feed (and avoiding duplicate postings)?
