Hi,

I have setup the free version of NewsPad on my server and everything seems fine except my newsletters don't send to my subscribers. The newsletters are saved but when I view Newsletter management, they indicate not sent. Is there something I am missing here?

You need to select which categories you want to send the newsletters to then under this part there are two buttons, one is 'Save Only' the other is 'Save and Send Newsletter' you need the second one.

You can get back to this option by editing any of your saved newsletter.

When you send a newsletter it shows you a progress bar and displays how many newsletters have been sent, how many failed sends, and other buttons for starting, pausing etc.

Thanks, I somehow missed that I needed to setup a category first. Apparently people can sign up for newsletters without specifying a category.

I'm going to add that as a required field if I can figure out how to do it. Might be something to add in the next version.

Another question related to this. If you import names and e-mail addresses do they receive a subsription confirmation e-mail or are they just added? I see no way to edit a user account in the admin area, like adding a category to their profile.

I have a client that is really interested in this app.

When you import email addresses confirmation emails are not sent. However, you can select which categories to import the members into.

Final formatting and actual delivery is necessary while sending the newsletters.You need to sign up to the website and keep the mail listing.
