If I add a bad word to my filter,
is there an easy way to make it affect posts that have already been written?
Is this as simple as re-syncing my topic and post count,
or is there something else I may be able to do?

Thanks!

It doesn't as it would need to search through every single post, topic subject, and private message and if it finds any of the bad words update them and save them back to the database.

if your forum has allot of posts in it this could take hours to do and may course undesirable results that can not be reversed.

Thanks, Bruce. I edited all my posts- there weren't that many!
