I did a search and didn't come up with anything definitive. Is there a setting I can turn on so only an Admins or Moderators can do a final approval of new members? I've noticed I'm getting a bunch of new users registering and have no idea who they are and I'd like to allow or deny them manually, instead of having the system purely do it through email notification.
I have a small site used mainly for family and friends. Although I have Email Activation setup, I would like to make it so Admins or Moderators do the final approval step before granting membership and access to my boards. I am running the SQL version of 9.08 currently.

You enable this in the email settings in the admin area. When a new member signs up an email is sent to the email address entered in the admin area. The email contains a link to activate the member.

Ah ha! I totally overlooked it. Thank you.
For reference, the setting is called "Administrator Member Activation". In 9.x it is under Setup & Configuration\Email Settings. From there, scroll down to the Enable Email Features section and turn on Administrator Member Activation.
