We really need this

Catagorie --> Forum --> Sub Forum --> Sub Sub Forum.

Please Help!

With phpBB this isn't a problem.

The present version only allows 1 level of sub forums, not sub, sub, forums.

When will it be added?

It should be quite simple to add as it just need to have the parent sub forum ID as the parent forum ID in the database. However, a you are the first person to ever ask for this it's not presently on any 'to do' list.

The only reason we bought the webwiz forum was because of the AD auto login feature.

Now we say that a commercial forum won't support sub sub forum. And the free phpbb does. Only AD Auto login is again not that easy with phpbb......

so?

Can't you guys create a sub version for us? otherwise we just spent money for nothing..

Did you use the free version and do some testing and sand-boxing with it to see if you could build the structure you wanted?
Like, take a test drive first?
Check out how it's setup here - really quite nice.
Not sure how a sub-sub would be used................

Sorry, but gee, not meaning to ruffle feathers, but that's the point of using it free for a while first.
These folks are generally pretty giving when it comes to tasks enough folks want. And we get a very secure, safe forum software that's well supported and easy on servers.
OTOH - Try asking Adobe for a feature that is of limited use........

that would be my fault... Sorry.

We just thought that a commercial forum would at least be able to do what a free opensource forum can do :-(

It is an usual request to have sub forums off of sub forums. The software is downloaded 1000's of times each week and you are thge first person to ever request such a feature.

There are hundreds of different generic features included but you can not include everything which is why new versions are continuing to be developed.

If enough people request a feature we do our best to add it, but as I mentioned you are the first person to ask for this, and had not been aware until now that this was even possible in other forum solutions.

We want to create a forum layout like this

Projects & Services (Catagorie) --> Software (Focus Groups) --> Backup --> Acronis
--> Symantec

To build this into the software, with both frontend, and find away to easy be able to implement it in the admin area without making it to confusing for users would more likely take around 3 weeks of full time development and testing.

If enough people request this feature then we will look at developing this for future versions, but at the present point in time it's not something which people want as the more levels you put in with your forums the less people will use them. A single layer of sub forums would be more than adequate for most sites.

I am very sorry but building a release just for you with this feature could not be justified as it would cost us many times more to develop and test it than the cost of a license.

You may want to look instead at creating more categories for your forum, rather than going down to many levels as you will more likely find that the forums down more than 1 level would not be used.

Most sites find that sub forums are rarely used, and best off avoiding, having more levels of sub forums would not be a good idea.

Would you place a voting poll on the site for this? to see if others also want it?

There is a suggestions forum, you should post the suggestion in there.

People tend to give responses in their to suggestions if they are also interested.

However, I would suggest avoiding to many levels of sub forums as you will find people will not use them.
