Hi,
Don't know if this is a bug or not.
If I point my browser to http://www.searchhuts.co.uk/forum/default.asp - http://www.searchhuts.co.uk/forum/default.asp  the title at the top of IE states .... - Powered by Web Wiz Forums however if I point my browser to http://forum.searchhuts.co.uk/ - http://forum.searchhuts.co.uk/  the - Powered by Web Wiz Forums does not show. Both links use the same settings for everything. Can someone explain.
Also are there any discounts for users who purchased one of the older version I think I purchased a copy of the forum when it was version 6 or 7. The answer is proberly going to be no but hey gota try Wink

I would think it is because you have a FREE version and not paid for version that this is happening. I'm sure if you email Bruce and enquire about some discount, then you might be lucky, but I guess you would have to PROVE you actually purchased a licence rather than thinking you have, and if you had purchased a licence, I'm fairly sure you are entitled to free updates, but I might be really wrong, so don't take my word for it

http://forum.searchhuts.co.uk/ uses Frames to load http://www.searchhuts.co.uk/forum

As you might notice the forum.site.com doesnt have a title at all.

Hi MrTWS,
I gathered it had something to do with the free version but what I don't understand is why when using one link I get the powered by and using another link to the same software you don't get the powered by. Just seems strange.
I do have a copy of web wiz that I purchased many moons ago not even sure what version it is! Looks as though I bought it back in 2002. Still have the code, disks and DVD cover all in mint condition as at the time it worked on my computer but when I uploaded to my web server I had problems with CDate in the code so I couldn't use the forum. But now I have changed servers I thought I'd give it a go again as it's a good well supported forum software.

Hi Scotty32,
It now makes sense Wacko but not to me. Must be something that the hosting company do when you use a sub domain.

Looks like your host don't actually give you sub domains. Instead they are being rather naughty and just setting up a site at forum.searchhuts.co.uk that uses frames to redirect to the originally URL.

This can course problems with cookies, and logging in as well as preventing the forum being indexed by search engines. If your host don't give you real sub domains (a real sub domain is a web site in it's own right, not a frame or a redirect to a folder on your mail web site, but a website with it's own settings) then you should stick with the original URL.
