Hi All
Is it possible to increase the number of characters allowed in the field username? I need to add members with 25 characters.

Presently you would have to edit a number of different files to change the length as there is no setting. But in the next release there should be a option to change the length (according to the v10 development blog). ------------- http://www.iportalx.net" rel="nofollow">

Can anyone tell me in which files I must change the setting?
I our forum, people use their real name as username, and a lot of names are longer than 20 characters. It wasn't a problem in the earlier version (or maybe we adjusted it) but now I'm in desperate need of help!

Ealier versions had a limit of 15 characters, version 8 increased this to 20 To increase the size further you would need to increase the feild size in the tblAuthor.Username in the database. You would then need to search through all the code increasing both the textbox size were usernames are entered and also increase the amomnut of characters read in within the code. The limit is still 20 characters for usernames. I would advise though not to use email address as member names as members names are public within the forum.
