Hello guys,

In israel the current version is: 1.25, is there anyway to upgrade this version to the newest version 10 alpha build? I would like to give my friend the forum-software and I don't know how to "upgrade" so my suggest is to prepare a little guide that includes the pictures of what you're doing when you upgrade the board.

However, could you please let me know how can I upgrade it and what I have to change for thats. Which files. (if there is a custom "background" what can I do) and more...

Please help me as soon as possible, I don't know this software and in israel there is no support center. webwiz.org.il didn't update their site since 1.25 version.

Can he help me to upgrade the board as well?

I can't upgrade my web-community because I don't know how to...

+ the hebrew website said that there is no any new version they can translate at the moment (they don't have a time).

Version 1.25 is VERY old. There are some other people looking for a Hebrew language pack ( http://forums.webwiz.net/forum_posts.asp?TID=24140 - http://forums.webwiz.net/forum_posts.asp?TID=24140 ) - perhaps you could colaborate to produce one. I believe it is just a text file.

Upgrading is usually quite straight forward and database changes or normally only between major versions, but if you are on version 1.25 you've got 8 major upgrades to perform and I don't know if anything before version 7 is still available. Bruce will be able to give better advise tomorrow.

Okay, that's super. Version 1.25 does sound really old however. Can you open the file (from the server using notepad, not in a web browser) call version_inc.asp (it's in the functions folder). At the end of the file you should see a line like:

'******************************************
'*** Version number ****
'******************************************

'Forum version
Const strVersion = "9.50"

Just to confirm the version.

I have the oldest version :: v1.25 this is really the number, what's wrong?

There never was a version 1.25 made. Are you sure you are using Web Wiz Forums?

There was never such a version made. It would seem that either you are mistaken or you got the forum from somewhere else and not from an official source and they have modified the version number.
