Currently when users receive an email from our Forum the link they get does not work correctly (when using IE 6). I found that IE 6 does work when http:// is at the beginning of a link but not when a link is without (which is how the emails from the forum are).

Does anyone know a way to fix this issue? Upgrading to a new browser is not an option since most of our audience is using IE 6 and there won't be an upgrade withing our organization anytime soon.

It sounds like you have not set the correct link to you forum from the admin area of your forum.

In the Email Settinsg page make sure that the web address of your forum includes the http:// part at the front of the URL.

You can use the test email settings button to send off a test email to your forums email account to check that the emails settings are correct. The email sent will have the link in it to also check that it correct.

Thank you for your response. I'm don't think I made sense with my post. When a user's post is responded to they receive an email with a link that will direct them to the response. That link does not work with IE6 and I'm wondering how to add the http:// to the beginning of the link. I see that the email I received from your response to my post has the http:// in front of the link. The web address to our forum does have http:// at the beginning. Thank you!

I did understand what you were saying and the response I gave in my last email is how you add the http:// to the front of your forums web address and also how you can then test that you have entered it correctly by sending a text email.
