Hi,

I have a old version of the forum ..7.6. I know this is not a secure one and want to upgrade it to a better one. How can I do this and is there some instruction to do it? Please help me upgrade and make my forum up to date.

To upgrade your forum download the latest free Express Edition of Web Wiz Forums (currently 9.50).

Inside the zip file you will find another zip file containing database upgrade tools, follow the intructions that come with the upgrade tools to upgrade your database to the latest version. You then upload the version 9.50 files and images and configure, in notepad, the database/database_connection.asp file to work with your upgraded database.

Hello,

I am running 7.9 (paid version without adverts). Is the procedure the same (download latest free files and follow directions), or do I need to order a new version. 7.9 is working fine for us right now, but it is being installed on a new server, so I am checking here for the latest version.

An free upgrade to the latest version that I qualify for is probably what I am after ( think I purchased at about 7.1 or so).

Yes the upgrade procedure is the same.

In regards to your licensing question you would need to contact sales and accounts with your license information.

I uppgraded to the latest version but run into a problem with the characters. Some funny characters show up for å, ä, ö (Swedish) when I did the upgrade. How can I manage to make it right. I know it have something to do with utf-8 etc...but how to fix it?
