This error and a solution is also found in the documentation that comes in the zip file with the forum.

I have just put my forum, working perfectly on m own server, onto hosted webspace, and get the same error.

I have made the change to common.asp as suggested.

First time I had the error on an earlier line (one sixty something?), but now gwt the exact error above.

I have phoned the hosting company, and they have confirmed the setting is correct.

Make sure you have also deleted your cookie cache after changing the LCID number. If this fails to work then it could be that the forum is not compatible with the server settings on the server you are using.

Thanks, that part of it is fine now, main problem being that the hosting company didn't know what language was set on their servers (oneandone) I discovered their servers are in Germany, and set the code to German and it worked.

That was despite them assuring me it was set to UK English!

I have another error, but will look through the boards and post it a different thread if I can't find it.
