I've migrated my v7.9 Access database to the latest version and the migration itself went OK.
Now when I use the migrated database with the new forum (WebWiz Express) I'm getting the following error:

Server Error in Forum Application
An error initialising Global Variables from database.
Please contact the forum administrator.

Support Error Code:- err_Access_getForumConfigurationData()_read_global_variables
File Name:- global_variables_inc.asp

Error details:-
Microsoft JET Database Engine
No value given for one or more required parameters.

To me it looks like I need to do something more, but I have no clue.
Any help would be great!

The error suggest that you have not updated your database to a version 9.x database

In the free express download there is a second zip file containing database upgrade tools. You need to upgrade your old 7.x database to a version 9.x database.

Hello Bruce, I did update my database using the migration-tool. It said it was succesfull.
Is there any way on checking the database?

Edit: Stupid me! When you said "not migrated" I checked the time-stamp of my database and guess what, it had not changed!
So I looked and suddenly remembered I migrated the backup-file. Embarrassed

Changed the name to correspond with the new forum and the errors are gone!

It works, great job you guys!

After seeing the same errors for 8 years it becomes quite easy after awhile.

Right, it's now 7pm and I've been here 12 hours now so I'm off going to escape the office till Monday and try to avoid these nasty computers that seem to rule my life!

See you all later.
